Brighton Jetty Classic Sculptures

The Adelaide Airport Brighton Jetty Classic Sculptures will be held by the sea again, in conjunction with the Brighton Jetty Classic Swim and Rowdown from Friday 29th January to Sunday 7th February 2010.

Our vision is to continue to hold a major arts event in conjunction with the successful annual Brighton Jetty Classic Swim. The combination of both arts and sport is a unique and successful community event.
Sculptures large and small for outdoor and indoor display will be made from multi media compositions i.e. wood, wire, glass, metals, stone, clay, plastics, cement etc.

While continuing with the successful exhibition of indoor sculptures, we have substantially increased the prize money for large outdoor sculptures.
The Competition

Artists are invited to enter their sculptures in what will be both an exhibition andcompetition. A judging panel will award four cash prizes. Categories are:
- Young artists: 15-19 years: $700
- Best Outdoor sculpture: $3000
- Best Indoor sculpture: $1500
- People’s Choice award: $1000
A commission of 30% from the sale of each sculpture will be retained by the Brighton Surf Life Saving Club. It is anticipated that submitting artists will be mindful of this when setting a price for their sculpture.
