at the University of Gloucestershire in Spring 2010

Competition Rules:
1. Poems of any style will be considered and must not exceed 80 lines.
2. Each poem should be typed on one side only using A4 paper.
3. If a poem is presented on more than one page it should be firmly and securely attached to any additional sheets.
4. Poems should be in English and should not have been published or accepted for publication elsewhere.
5. Poems that have won or been in the prize lists of previous competitions are not eligible.
6. Poems should not be a translation made from another author’s work.
7. Poems may not be altered after submission.
8. All poems will be judged anonymously and you must not write your name anywhere on the poem or poems submitted.
9. Current members of the Iota Editorial team are not eligible to submit their work.
10. Entries are open to any nationality from any country.
11. You do not need to be a subscriber to Iota magazine to be eligible.
12. Overseas submissions submitted by post should be accompanied by a Sterling cheque or bankers draft. Please do not send entry fees in cash unless it is in Sterling and via a secure, signed for delivery service. All payments should be made payable to ‘IOTA Competition’
