Online Competitions to Win

The UBC School of Music presents the annual Knigge Music Competition, graciously supported by a generous gift from Dieter and Hanne Lore Knigge. The competition is for solo piano and open to pianists ages 17 – 25 who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or who are currently studying full-time at a Canadian educational institution at the time of application.

March 6 & 7, 2010, UBC Recital Hall

The UBC School of Music is delighted to present the annual Knigge Music Competition, graciously supported by a generous gift from Dieter and Hanne-Lore Knigge. The competition is for solo piano.

Competition: Saturday, March 6, 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Winners announced approx. 6:30 p.m.)
Winners Concert: Sunday, March 7, 2:00 p.m.
Where: UBC Recital Hall, 6361 Memorial Road.
All events are FREE and open to the public.

The Prizes:
1st Prize: $5,000 cash plus a solo recital on the UBC School of Music 2009 -2010 Concert Series.
2nd Prize: $3,000 cash
3rd Prize: $1,500 cash
4th Prize: $1,000 cash

$7,000 in scholarships or other prizes also to be awarded.
