Online Competitions to Win

Win £1000 and the proud title of ‘Ooffoo Laureate’ for 2010. This year, in association with Resurgence Magazine, we’re looking for an inspiring letter that you would write to a world leader or somebody of global or significant influence. The award will go to the person who is judged to have written the most impressive and inspiring letter – one that offers hope or encouragement and is aimed at helping to change things for the better. Your letter could consist of new or original ideas and suggestions or it may be a letter of praise and encouragement for something positive that she or he is already doing. You may know of something that is already taking place elsewhere in a smaller or local context and your letter may be a suggestion as to how this may work on a grander or global level. You may wish to write an inspirational speech to him or her as a form of encouragement and a reminder of the power she/he has to be able to make a difference.

How to enter
To enter simply upload your entry as an article on Ooffoo and when you are asked to list which tags you wish your letter to be listed under you must make sure that one of the tags is ‘ooffoo laureate 2010’.

Deadlines
The competition deadline for articles to be uploaded is: 31 December 2009.

Judging will take place during January/February/March 2010.

The winners will be announced on March 20th 2010 – the first day of Spring.

The prize
The winner will receive £1000 and the title of Ooffoo Laureate 2010*.

Entries to the competition must be original to the entrant.

The winner will be announced on the Ooffoo website and will be contacted by the email address they supply with their winning article.

We reserve the right to remove articles considered in our opinion for whatever reason to be unacceptable for the competition.

We reserve the right to consider any misappropriate behaviour in the ranking process and make adjustments accordingly.

We reserve the right to use judging and/or voting to select the winner.

If the winner is disqualified for any reason or is unable to be contacted within 60 days of the announcement Ooffoo reserves the right to choose the next appropriate winner from the shortlist.

The prize is a £1000 from Ooffoo paid in Pounds Sterling. Payment will be made by cheque or bank transfer. The competition is not open to employees and their families of Ooffoo or those of its associated companies.
