Solve this Sudoku puzzle

A homeowner is hoping to beat the property prices slump by raffling his house in a Sudoku competition. Dave Mackie, 49, is offering his £675,000 three-bedroom home as top prize in an online contest after deciding to move abroad.

The finance broker, who has completed thousands of puzzles, hopes to beat the recession by getting 14,000 people to pay £50 to enter. It is almost certainly the first competition of its kind.

Participants who complete the online Sudoku board will be entered into a raffle – with the winner announced in February next year, or when 14,000 entrants sign up.

The £700,000 raised will cover the £675,000 cost of the property, plus £25,000 for legal fees and advertising.

One lucky winner will be given the keys to the detached red-brick home, which sits in large grounds on the Lancashire coast. If Mr Mackie hasn’t got the sufficient number of successful entrants by February 2010, then one of the entrants wins the competition fund as a cash prize.

Potential homebuyers who want to enter the competition should go to www.win-free-home.com.
